What the QLD Committee does

The QLD Committee gives members the opportunity to develop strategies to tackle local issues as well as contribute to the national agenda. Committee participants are often called upon to represent Consult Australia in local engagement activities (including meetings with government agencies etc). The QLD Committee meets monthly and requires engaged individuals.

Latest 'top 3 takeaways'

The 'top 3 takeaways' summarise key issues discussed at the last meeting. These are to help the broader membership understand the activities of the QLD Committee.

  1. CA-QMCA 'Building Bridges' initiative. The Committee discussed the launch of the initiative and the positive engagement between consultants and contractors on this, all driving for a better industry culture.
  2. Increased information sharing. The Committee discussed developing a slide deck, of Consult Australia policy updates and opportunities for member involvement, for information sharing.
  3. Special Guest - Damian Gould, CEO of Building Queensland. The Committee were pleased to welcome Damian Gould to the meeting to provide a vision on how consultants and Building Queensland can work closely together.

The FutureNet Brisbane Committee gives young professionals the opportunity to design and run engaging social and educational events that allow their peers to develop valuable networks. The Committee is open to members and non-members. The FutureNet Brisbane Committee Chair also participates in the QLD Committee. The FutureNet Brisbane Committee meets monthly and requires engaged individuals willing to create and deliver engaging events.
